(More customer reviews)This is a good, inexpensive and versatile knife that can be used as a spreader and server. I stumbled upon it when I needed an inexpensive item to meet the free shipping requirement.
It's good for cutting soft & leafy vegetables (lettuce, tomato), things that can be cut with sawing motion. It will not cut hard vegetable (carrot) that requires chopping motion.
It's particularly handy for making sandwiches. I can use it to spread the condiment, then slice the tomato or sweet pepper, and cut the sandwich in half at the end with just one knife. It's also great for cake, breads, brownies, etc.
It washes well in the dishwasher. A great buy overall!

I tried the liquid form and was not nearly as pleased with it because it was much more work to walk around my large yard with the hose and that bulky spray device. With the Shake and Feed, just sprinkle some around everything you want to feed and turn on the water. Of course you must be careful not to over-fertilize plants that might be planted in an already fertilized soil. That's just common sense.

Kyocera Double Edged Mandolin Slicer, Available in Red or Yellow Review

(More customer reviews)When I say "one thing", I do not mean to slander this device as a unitasker. It will not julienne -- but I don't julienne anyways. It won't cut spiral slices from an onion, if you're cooking your way through Michel Richard's book -- but you can get a much better device for that strange task. Instead, Kyocera made a nearly idiot-proof slicer that Does What It's Supposed To. This is about 99% glorious and 1% terrifying. Read on.
It slices paper-thin (I believe the measurement is 2mm?) planes of whatever you run across it, and it does so very, very quickly. The biggest drawback of this device is also its biggest strength -- before you know what happened, your garlic clove or pear or potato is sitting in a pile on your cutting board, neatly reduced to loose-leaf, and if you are not careful, you will have to hunt around for the bit of fingertip that got lopped off by the exceptionally sharp blade. It slices anything you put in its path, which is exactly what it's supposed to do -- so don't slice your fingers!
The designers were not joking when they emblazoned the device, the package, and all the marketing materials with warnings about how sharp the blade is You might think the hand-guard would ameliorate this hazard, but you'd be wrong, except for boundary cases with big thick vegetables. And you'll find yourself using this for so many smaller or wigglier vegetables that you will eventually dispense with that thing, so Watch Out. It's SHARP.
I find the hand-guard / smoosher to be almost useless unless you have a big, wide vegetable with a vast expanse of firm flatness to poke it into. Mostly I end up using my fingers and paying as much attention as I can to avoiding the maw of the slicer. It *WILL* cut bits of your fingers clean off, and it's so sharp that if you have calluses as thick as mine (from climbing and lifting weights), you may think you've escaped without incident. Don't be so sure. Look for the telltale flat pink bit on the end of your fingers and FISH THAT OUT OF THE SALAD, you savage! Not that I would ever find myself in such a situation, oh no. But, uh, I've read...
In any event, this device looks like junk and works like a charm. I paid $10 for mine and I use it constantly. It Just Works. You should try it.

I like this coldframe. It's a nice size - you can fit a lot inside - and it's easy to put together. It has nice sturdy clips to hold the doors open or closed. The only thing I would like to see is some mechanism to hold the doors open all the way so the rain could get in. I am resorting to stakes to prop the doors open. But this is a very nice coldframe, and I sent one to my son as well.

(More customer reviews)I was suspicious about purchasing it since it is made in China; when I got it I was pleasantly surprise. This is a great potato masher. It is very sturdy and ergonomic. The head is actually oval unlike other mashers that are round or square and because of this design it fits into a pot much nicer. I didn't get the Rosle masher because I don't like the ring around the base of the handle. I may want to use two hands to mash because I have small hands and that idea would not work well for me. This masher is really great.

Zyliss Herb Snippers Review

(More customer reviews)I grew a lot of fresh herbs this year. Rosemary, thyme. parsley, dill and many others. I love the fragrance and the fresh flavors have really kicked my culinary skills up a notch. What I like about these scissors is the feature that allows me to strip the leaves off the stems. Woody plants like Oregano and thyme are easy to snip and the leaves come off easily. As far as chopping though I still use a mezzaluna. I find that easier to mince with. But the scissors have their merit too. If your into fine needle work and sewing I can see these would be fine to have around. Just right for snipping herbs from the pots and and stripping the leaves from stems, I like it.

where Salmon was the #1 ingredient !!
Amazon.Com was where I actually found some different choices. This is the
second one I have tried. The pup gobbles it right up/ & he's doing quite well
on it. It's an all natural product, which does appeal to me as an owner/&
it ships free if you buy quantity. If I could change anything; a pull tab
would be great !! It's difficult to open cans if the owner has arthritis/
or other difficulties with the hands. I hope I don't have to change brands,
because of that one packaging issue.
