I was delighted to find this item on line and equally delighted to see the improvements, such as rubber "feet" to prevent slippage and a handy device when using to prevent fingers from making contact with the blade. I use the feemster primarily for preparing Cole Slaw. I like the cabbage and onions shredded extra fine and I can do it in a fraction of the time it would normally take with a sharp knife. It is also great when preparing soup vegetables. It can slice carrots, potatoes etc to any size from ultra thin to half inch in perfectly equal pieces.
A Feemsters Slicer is a cook's best friend when it come to handling the tedious part of a receipe. You're done in record time and clean-up is a breeze.
