(More customer reviews)The gear mechanism advertised to increase force is made of plastic. The second time I used this juicer the last tooth of the plastic gear broke. The first time I used it was on small limes, so the thinner skin probably didn't stress it as much. Such a high stress part really should have been made of something much stronger (perhaps stainless steel).

(More customer reviews)We were very excited to receive this item as a gift. After about ten uses of spinning salad greens (not overloaded or something obscure) the cord broke. It showed significant signs of fraying and abrasion. We pulled the handle just a few times for each drying cycle. We'll be searching online for similar experiences and potential fixes, we'd love to get it back up and running.
