Most people would not think of reviewing a peeler. It's too unimportant to justify typing anything. However, if you cook enough and have done it long enough and care about the quality of your creations, this simple little kitchen tool will put a smile upon your face. I won't contrast it with the sloppy, gouging wasteful peelers your typical "branded" name American kitchen company "designs in America" and manufactures in Shandong province. Those are, in a word, contemptible to anyone who cares about quality. Spare me the cache of having that "brand name" cheap crap in my kitchen and you know what I'm talking about. Those companies care more about profit than perfection. If there is a more perfect peeler than this one, I haven't used it.
I've peeled for 40 years and I don't need to tell you, pushing a peeler across the surfaces of carrots, radishes, potatoes, yams and cutting your knuckles on dull peelers or using a knife to peel on will put years on your life scars on your hands and make you want to throw it in there unpeeled.
Not with this peeler.
It's effortless, smooth, graceful, clean and precise. I look for food to peel with this tool in my kitchen drawer. It's balanced, properly sized to hold. It's not too long or too short and cuts very good size peel of the food. But it's standout quality is the speed. Oh man, it's like peeling butter with this device. It's beautiful 18/10 stainless steel. To clean it, you put it under the water and the flow washes away all the particles of food.
