I love it because I have small hands for an adult, and I don't feel as safe using a large knife, and this one works great for me. I LOVE Oxo products and own many!! Would make a wonder gift too, especially for someone who has problems with their hands, as their handles do make a person feel safer when using the item, and they feel very comfortable in the hand, especially important when using a knife!! They last too, and I still use this knife for many, many items, and it is still sharp, years later!!

(More customer reviews)This mandoline slicer was a disappointment. It is very difficult to operate, especially when slicing tougher vegetables like butternut squash or even onions. It is very hard to keep the vegetables in place and you have to press down so hard to keep them from sliding off that it feels like you're about to break the thing in half. I'm sticking to knives and the food processor from now on.

(More customer reviews)I did not purchase this from Amazon. Big mistake. If I had I would have gotten a much better price! The peeler works well but the julienne peeler that comes with it works ok. You have to be careful. It does not work on everything! The teeth bend. I called Samurai and they do not return calls. By the way they (not Amazon, but Samurai) says they will 'throw in the julienne peeler for free' and you pay shipping and handling. Shipping and handling is almost $9.00 per piece! We paid s/h for two peelers that were shipped in the same box. Now remember this was not purchased from Amazon, and that was our first mistake!

After a short time, the SaladXPress became appreciably slower. Under the terms of the warranty, it was replaced with what appears to be a new unit. The new one isn't any better than the first. We've given up on the SaladXPress and purchased an OXO SoftWorks hand powered salad spinner.

(More customer reviews)This is the worst piece I own by Cuisinart. I generally like their products but this thing stinks. My girlfriend bought me this for X-Mas (after I picked it out!). Let me say that I would give it negative stars if possible. I now have to waste time and fuel to drive it back to the store to recuperate the cost. The thing fell apart after 1/8 of an onion--which is, btw, all the space this thing has to chop. Was not sharp enough to cut through the tougher, outer onion layer. P-l-e-a-s-e! I took it all the way apart to see what could possibly "jam" a manual food chopper. I noticed that the blade piece unscrewed from the hand piece. No problem, right? Wrong, wrong! The pieces would not stay together. Needless to say that it almost ruined X-Mas once my girlfriend had to go digging through the trash for the receipt . . .

Everything but that handle is very nice, heavy-duty stainless steel. However, when you apply any force to the upper handle (which is made from either very lightweight SS or aluminum), is bends easily, rendering the utensil useless.

10.5" COMMERCIAL RESTAURANT STEAMER RACK / COOLING RACK Review

(More customer reviews)This rack is misidentified as a "steamer" as it is actually merely a cooling rack. The very first time I used it in water it rusted and stained a brand new stainless steel pot I had just purchased for $100. It is cheap pot metal which is not designed to be used with water or with steam. It rusted so fast it seemed almost magical.
An important note:
The company selling this rack through Amazon on this page at time of posting (MV Trading Co.) does not back up its sales. They simply say "we never said it was stainless" as if selling a steamer which can't be used as a steamer is excusable if you don't explicitly claim it won't rust out the very first time you use it. This company is highly unprofessional in my experience and I would recommend avoiding them at all costs.

(More customer reviews)Bought one of these in my search for a good cheese grater to replace my sadly inadequate KitchenAid KG301 rotary model (see reviews on this before buying...they capture the problems well). After using this once, you have to ask: "what were they thinking?" The cutting disks can fit into the device both ways though only one way cuts, the disk is difficult to line up properly in the unit, and frankly doesn't cut well with my main use for parmigiano reggiano...it almost powders it. Worse, the circular hand motion needed to grate is fine for, say, a pepper mill for which only a small amount is needed. For this, the repetitive twisting and small yield are unacceptable.
For those of you like me who have and love the superb and unbeaten KitchenAid stand mixers, this device and the rotary grater are not in anywhere near the same quality and usefulness league.
Another cheese grater of no value to me.

I thought the handle would be too cumbersome as I have small hands, but it's fine. I like the fact that it stands on a shelf so it won't get out of my site and get thrown in the compost like my previous one.
You can use either hand: the blade can be popped out and reversed for lefties (thank you T. Scimone for pointing this out to me).

I have weak closing strength and pain in my hands which makes it hard to impossible to use the conventional rotating or moving blade type of peeler. This type is called a French peeler or fixed blade peeler and it works great by transferring the motion from thumb and fingers to the wrist and lower arm. Yes, it does take a little getting used to but once you master your own technique it's actually much faster and certainly less painful to use.

(More customer reviews)I have already used these tools a number of times. The peeler is awesome. It is the perfect angle for peeling much easier. The Snap n Slice and I fight a little bit. The plastic part doesn't seem to line up all the time. On soft foods it is great, but if a harder food spreads those little cutting blades a bit, it's tough to push the food through. Also, quite often I get pinched when the food finally goes through. I continue to use it because it makes slicing for salads much faster.

If you're starting out, going off to college, equipping a cabin or an RV, looking for knives to use when tailgaiting or camping, etc., these are great. An added bonus is that you'll have the experience to help you decide which of the shapes best suits your preference.
While they aren't professional quality, they're good value for the money. They have a range of blade shapes, making them a versatile set. Their color coding can be useful, too.
WASH promptly after use in hot soap and water, rather than put them in the dishwasher. They'll last longer and stay sharp longer, too. (They'll also set you up with good habits for when you do get the full tang forged versions by Henkel.)

(More customer reviews)I am a long-standing Cusinart food processor fan for 25 plus years. I couldn't imagine my kitchen without it. So when I discovered this product, I was sure that this would be a time-efficient way to quickly chop an onion without having to use my big Cuisinart food processor. I was confident that it would uphold Cuisinart standards for food processing. NOT THE CASE. Chopping/slicing peppers or onions was completely impossible. Very little came out of the chute as most of the vegetables were turned into a mushy pureed substance trapped between the blade and the round housing. In addition, as soon as the motor is turned on, a burnt odor is emitted leading me to think that the motor is burning out. I do not recommend this product to anyone and I am shocked that Cuisinart would put their name on this piece of junk!

Enter the FridgeSmart from Tupperware. I can fit an entire Broccoli in the medium size, best of all, it makes it easy to snack (already washed and cut). They are easy to clean as well. The best part of the medium size is the guide that is printed on the side. This will help you determine how many vents need to be opened. I found this guide to be very helpful!
