Dedicated to gourmands who require only the best kitchen equipment, Mauviel's copper saute pan with straight sides andcast iron handle is versatile enough for searing meats, simmering soups consistent temperatures, sauteing vegetables and more. Measuring 11 inches in diameter, it's constructed of solid copper, the most efficient conductor of heat used in cookware, giving you more precise control over the cooking process--especially at lower temperatures. It also features an an 18/10 stainless steel interior for maximum durability as well as enabling the use of metal tools. The stainless steel is bonded to the copper by lamination, prior to production, thereby achieving a uniform layer over the whole pan.
It's complemented by a solid cast iron handle that's riveted to the body of the pan for added durability, and it includes a hole for hanging. A lid for this sauce pan is sold separately. Hand washing recommended. Exterior can be cleaned and polished with copper cleanser.
